Meals on Wheels - Delivering a Nutritious Meal along with a Smile

The Meals on Wheels program provides a home-delivered, nutritious noontime meal to seniors throughout Racine County who are homebound, disabled, frail or at risk. This meal program significantly improves the quality of life and health of those who are served.

The “Meals” are prepared by Lincoln Lutheran chefs and the “Wheels” are provided by Lincoln Lutheran volunteers who deliver the meal between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., Monday through Friday (except holidays). Hot, nutritious and satisfying meals can be modified for special diets.

To qualify for the program, participants must be:

• 60 years of age or older
• Homebound within Racine County
• Physically unable to obtain and prepare meals themselves; and
• Have no transportation to outside meal sites.  

Senior Meal Program - More than a Meal  

Healthy, delicious meals for individuals 60 and over (and their accompanying spouse, regardless of age) are served at the locations listed below. The meal program provides a great chance to get out of the house every weekday to make new friends, renew old acquaintances and to learn about services or events available to seniors in Racine County.

Meals are prepared by Lincoln Lutheran chefs and served by Lincoln Lutheran volunteers. Reservations are required; donations are welcome.

While Lincoln Lutheran and Racine County work in partnership to provide the Senior Nutrition Program, including Meals on Wheels and the Senior Meal Program, Lincoln Lutheran sees the big picture too and offers a spectrum of care through our programs and within our communities, including: Community Services, Apartments, Assisted Living, Short-Term Rehabilitation and Memory Care.
